The 2022 Chocolate Makers UnConference Schedule - during every month a new topic is explored.

There are three parts to each topic: On-Demand Webinar to get the conversation started, Live Global Gathering to discuss the topic, Community Forum to keep track of ideas, projects, and learning.

First Friday of the Month: On-Demand Webinar with Topic Leaders, recorded for replay, all attendees receive on-demand replay link. Learn from experts in the field and get insights about the topic that will help to get the conversation rolling in the forum and global gathering! Premium Members may attend all expert webinar sessions live for exclusive Q&A.

Third Friday of the Month: Global Gathering Live Video Discussion on monthly Topic. All UnConference registered attendees are invited. Participate in the business growth, networking, and problem solving session that happens in real-time! Premium members receive session notes and community update on the topic in addition to premium podcast and newsletter content.

All Month: Community Forum, an interactive online space for all attendees to ask questions, post videos, upload photos, and reply to threads. Build your network on the daily! Our goal with the community forum is to take supply chain communication in the artisan chocolate industry to a new level.

When you register to attend the UnConference you will receive the web links to create a profile and join the community forum. 

Next: Create your profile in the community forum area online.

Then: Attend the webinar session on First Friday and the Live Global Gathering on the Third Friday by following the links we email to you directly. All members will receive an email with the link to view all sessions. 

Finally: Once you have registered, watched the webinar, and created your online profile - introduce yourself to the community and share posts about your work in chocolate and ask questions related to the monthly theme!

January - Sensory Analysis for Craft Chocolate

Let's talk about product flavor profiles in craft chocolate and discover modern ways to perform quality analysis and share tips for beta-testing new origins, production methods, and product recipes.

February - Food Science for Artisan Chocolate Makers

Listen to food scientists discuss key elements in product development and then join the conversation with chocolate makers in the global gathering and community forum to build your food science knowledge-base.

March – Cacao Fermentation Best Practices  

Join cacao fermentation specialists to explore modern practices that influence flavor in the post-harvest processing stage of cacao for artisan chocolate.

April – Sugar Science for Artisan Chocolate  

One of the foundational ingredients in chocolate products goes overlooked in many product quality conversations. Sugar selection, sugar properties, and the complex interactions of sugar with other ingredients will be in the spotlight for this month. 

May - Equipment & Technology for Chocolate

You're ready for new equipment - should you buy, or DIY, or custom modify? How do you decide how big or small to scale with your new equipment? What do repairs look like on these fancy units compared to these basic grinders? If you are a machine-geek this month is for you, and if you're building or running a chocolate facility - you better get in here! 

We have two types of admission to the Chocolate Makers UnConference and you may choose to trial access for 30-days or join as a Member. 

The Standard Membership is a recurring fee, you are billed monthly for the standard rate, and you have full access to the community, webinar, and live session every month. 

The Premium Membership is a recurring fee, you are billed monthly for the premium rate, and you have full access to the community, webinar, and live session every month.
